e-Counseling

Yes! I do online counseling. It works! Why would that be? Don't you need to see body language in order for counseling to work? Let me answer this great question with another question: Doesn't the blind person develop a keener sense of hearing?

My job, first and foremost, is to be a listener. I tune in to words and behavior patterns over time. In online counseling, I pick up on attitudes that come through what you say and what you tell me you do.

In fact, online counseling has some advantages that personal counseling lacks:

• You can take your time to think how you want to say something.
• You may be able to save the transcript to review the ideas discussed.
• You may express your emotions without the sense of being watched.
  You then have the choice of letting me know what you feel by simply
  writing it down.
• A big time-saver for those around the globe, shut in, or just
  too busy to go to therapy.

Online counseling works when the right counselor is at the other
end!
